Kohala Heroes

The Kohala Heroes project captures kupuna stories about the people who they looked up to, emulated, and learned from — their heroes. The project was funded by the Hawai’i Council for the Humanities, the Hawaii Community Foundation’s West Hawaii Fund through the Oscar L. & Ernestine H. Armstrong Advised Fund, the Atherton Foundation, the Dorrance Family Foundation, and
District 9 Contingency Relief Funds.
