Jocelyn Manuel
Jocelyn was born and raised in Kohala and founded Kohala Oral History Project. Passionate about preserving Kohala's history, she manages KOHP's fundraising efforts and oversees the project's operations.
Bryan Campbell
Bryan is the primary instructor for our education programs. Bryan is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and motion graphics designer and is a Lecturer in the Department of Creative Media at Hawai‘i Community College.
Johnelle "Amoo" Kainoa
Amoo is the Project Director of Kohala Unupa‘a, an afterschool program that provides students grades 2-10 with a foundation in Hawaiian culture through experiential learning opportunities. We are proud to partner with Kohala Unupa‘a to implement our school program, Kohala Voices: Youth Documentary Film Program.
Lucas Manuel-Scheibe
Lucas co-founded KOHP with his mom, Jocelyn. He was the primary videographer and interviewer for the first set of kūpuna stories that the project recorded, which ultmately became the "This is Kohala" film. Lucas is currently a film student at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
